Whats so Cool about SPICE

What' so Cool about SPICE is a fan-fiction game about being a smuggler on Dune.

It is a submission to the What's so cool about Jam and a hack of Jared Sinclair's game What's so cool about Outer Space.

You play as a group of smugglers on Arrakis, Dune. You mainly smuggle Spice for the Emperor, Shaddam IV of House Corrine, but you try to keep your options open. For the right price, you'll smuggle almost anything, and your price is Spice!
Recently, the House Atreides has been granted the fief over Dune and according to the influential smuggler Staban Tuek a new golden area for smugglers has started. Under the House Harkonnen, smugglers were hunted and oppressed, but the House Atreides can be bargained with and might even be powerful allies...

To really enjoy this game, you must have read Frank Herbert's Dune, at least the first book. We will see if the new Dune movies will stay as close to the source material as they promise. You should read Dune anyway, it's a great book! To prepare yourself for the game, you could get the Bookmark Journaling Game and read Dune again with a single character to focus on.
