What is Rise to Heist?

Rise to Heist is not just one game - it's a collection of games! Let me explain:

Rise to Heist - the base game - is a toolset for running games about heists, pretty obvious. Rise to Heist focuses on the sneaky aspects of the heist while ignoring violence. There're already enough games with perfectly fine rules for combat or violence out there, so why would we want to add to this.

Rise to Heist is aimed at groups that want to have a quick fun game without having to prep for it! Character creation is a breeze with our own twist to make your characters unique, we give suggestions about worldbuilding, and we also guide you through structuring your game!

Rise to Heist follows the tried and tested 3-Act structure of RISE and provides a fitting twist that will help you catapult yourself into your game in no time!

WuDe keeps bringing the awesomeness! This was a clever mashup of all my favorite things. And the system just gets more refined with every new product.

Crowdfunding!

We are raising funds for two additional settings here on Itch:

• Spelunking through Time: a game about kids going traveling through time to fix a problem without disturbing the fabric of time and space. Think The Goonies meets Time Bandits!
• XXXXXXXXXXX: Our second project is currently a secret, because we are looking to get permission from an amazing author to use some of her ideas as basis for this game!

Our main funding goals:

• Funding: $200 for Rise to Heist artwork  Goal met!
• 1. Stretch Goal: $750 for Spelunking through Time artwork
• 2. Stretch Goal: $1500 for the secret second project
• Possible Stretch Goals: translations in various languages

Our additional funding goals:

Besides our main funding goals, we have other funding goals that represent the work of an indie creator.  We indies rely on the understanding for our creative work and the help of our families and friends. Working full-time and creating games takes a big bite out of our days and having supportive friends and a loving family make these efforts possible. So we will have stretch goals that reflect this:

• Going for a coffee with my partner  We went for a cocktail at a lovely bar at the lake. It was a fantastic evening!
• Taking my kids out for ice cream  They loved it and we enjoyed a wonderful summer day together!
• Having a beer or two with my friends and proofreader

When can you expect these games:

• Rise to Heist is finished (check)
• Spelunking through Time will be finished in summer (but we need to reach that stretch goal for the artwork!)
• Our secret second project will be finished in autumn (but we need to hit that 2. stretch goal for amazing art!)
