Some might look at this and say games are getting too expensive, or question why artwork will up the price of this game. To them we say: Artists deserve the Price they ask for!

We decided to increase the price of Clean-Up Crew because we adjusted our itchfunding goals. Our initial itchfunding goals were set with a young Chinese artist in mind that asked very little, because she wanted to join the project to gain experience rather than make money. She initially didn't even want to take any money at all, but we insisted!

After we lost her as our artist due to personal reasons, we started to look for other options and discovered soon, that a comic will be too expensive. So we adjusted our vision of the Intro Mission into an illustrated story and decided to have 5 illustration created by 5 different artists. Here is where we are looking at the price increase, because we want to give the artists the same pay - no matter where the are located. This will again limit us to some degree,  but by doing this we can control our budget and would still be able to get the kick-ass artwork Clean-Up Crew deserves.

We still plan on adding more Monster illustrations and illustrations of Weapons as a stretch goal and have the final stretch goal in there as a reminder to all the folx that complain about the price of Indie Games: If we raise $1500 with this project, I will be able to start getting paid. That's right, up until $1500, nothing of the funds that lands in my pocket stays there. This goes all to the artists working on kick-ass illustrations - and this is where the Indie Scene currently stands. Most of us are not getting paid at all.

Anyhow, to ensure I can pay my artists, I will raise the price for Clean-Up Crew once the current Sale ends, so don't wait and get on it right away!
